Scarf & Jacket in July

July 28, 2009 By Dusty Rogers 11 Comments

We had a few days of unseasonably chilly weather earlier this month. On this day the highs were in the low 60s, so to my surprise I needed to raid my closet for some much needed keep-me-warm accessories. Even in Wisconsin, who would’ve ever thought I’d need a jacket and scarf in July??

And although it was on the cooler side, I refused to surrender my open-toed shoes. I only get to wear them a few months out of the year, so these babies were staying put!

T-shirt: Old Navy
Jersey Scarf: Old Navy
Jeans: The Limited
Jacket: Old Navy
Shoes: Nicole
Pregnancy: 15 weeks

I love it! My office is really casual, but I try pairing a simple tee with a jacket and it add instant polish. Oh, and the shoes are to die for. I LOVE Nicole shoes!!!

Congrats on the baby news, you will make a great mother. :)

Great colours! It’s been a cool summer in Toronto as well. I haven’t been able to put away the sweaters and jackets and it’s almost Aug! Maybe next month!

totally off topic, but i tried ice cream with pretzels (and chocolate syrup)the other day and it was “the bomb”. MMM. I’ve had a bowl every night for the last 3 nights – and I’m not even prego! lol

I love the fact that you too can wear jeans and casual clothes to the office, It’s the same thing for me! Love the outfit, especially with the scarf and jacket!

Wish I could say the same thing about the weather here in Texas, we are dying of heat! Please send some of you cool weather this way! LOL!

yay for jackets to pull the look together. I got this great skirt over the weekend and it paired great with a pink tank top I already had. I threw a white jacket over top (it gets chilly in my office) and it really pulled the whole thing togheter.

Your hair looks different… is it getting longer?

    Thanks everyone!

@Rebecca–I actually have a very high tech system for picture taking. Okay, that’s a lie. I just prop my camera up, hit the self-timer, and cross my fingers at least one picture turns out. I could never torture G by making him be my photographer–there’s probably nothing he’d rather do less!

@MeggyD–Thank you so much! I am absolutely LOVING being pregnant! šŸ˜€

@Priscilla–Oooh, so glad to hear you liked it! I actually haven’t had that in a while, but now I think I need it again. Pronto!

@Amber–I wouldn’t mind trading you weather for a week or so. I can’t believe how cool this summer has been for us!

@LizzieBeth–Sounds like a fabulous outfit! I love the look of skirts but can rarely pull them off. And yep, my hair is getting longer. I’ve kind of been growing it out, but I’m so impatient and hate this in-between stage. It’s everything I can do not to have my stylist chop it off, but we’ll see!
